François Bolduc-Teasdale Chief Executive Officer
François is a co-founding member of OPTIS and its Chief Executive Officer. He holds a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a focus on aerospace system design. Through solidly anchored values and work ethic, he inspires his team to grow and thrive in a highly innovative environment. François is actively involved in the engineering community, from co-authoring publications in the field of turbomachinery and aircraft design to promoting STEM education among the next generation of students.

Michaël Lévesques-Leduc R&D Team
Michaël graduated in mechanical engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke before launching a career in the aerospace industry. He has designed and operated several types of unmanned systems (both fixed wing & rotocraft) in domestic and foreign airspace, including direct support to the Canadian army by operating and maintaining the Boeing Scaneagle UAS in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Michaël brings to the team a unique background in terms of system integration, mechanical design of aircraft structures and certification for airworthiness requirements.

Stéphanie Gosselin Administrative assistant
Stephanie joined Optis as an Administrative assistant in 2018, bringing to the team a solid background in finances and accounting. She actively contributes to the success of our partners and customers by implementing management best practices, standards and overseeing compliance as required. Through her dynamic and positive attitude, Stéphanie also supports our HR and marketing efforts, promoting our agile innovation culture to our team and collaborators.

Hugo Lussier-Carrière R&D Team
Hugo graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Sherbrooke. He joined Optis in 2018 and readily developed expertise in the field of numerical simulations of axial turbomachinery and aerospace structures. Most specifically, Hugo specializes in the structural design and analysis of rotating components, rotor dynamics, airworthy structures, and composite materials analysis.

Raphaël Pilon R&D Team
Raphael holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Sherbrooke with a focus on design and durability of machine elements. Raphaël is a maker, bringing to the team a solid background in manufacturing and experimental validations. Thriving in fast-paced environments where quick iterations and tests are required, Raphael supports both our aerospace and turbomachinery projects with all challenges involving mechanical design, structural optimization, and rotating machinery dynamics.

Jonathan Dupuis R&D Team
Jonathan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a specialisation in aeronautics from the University of Sherbrooke. Jonathan joined Optis in 2018 and has since specialized in system design, aircraft performance and flight data analysis. As such, he has worked on tradeoff studies for the design of electric VTOL aircraft, developed flight performance data reduction algorithms in collaboration with the certification authorities and analyzed and designed propellers, rotors and other rotating machinery for both the aerospace and industrial sectors.

Dominic Lallier-Daniels R&D Team
Dominic specializes in fluid dynamics and the related field of aeroacoustics, in which he holds a Ph.D. from the Université de Sherbrooke. He leverages his expertise in the field of computational fluid dynamics to assist our customers and partners in the design and evaluation of aerospace and turbomachine applications ranging from industrial fans to aircraft propulsion systems. He has also authored several peer-reviewed publications in the field of turbomachinery and aeroacoustics.

David Rancourt Technical Advisor
David is a co-founding member of OPTIS and assumes the position of Technical Advisor. He also holds a position as assistant professor at the Université de Sherbrooke in the mechanical engineering department of the engineering school. David holds a PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology in the field of aerospace system design, with a focus on the development of novel electric VTOL aircraft architectures. As an external advisor, David brings a solid expertise to the team through insights on operational and technical challenges and support during design reviews.
